My
Story

I help you share your truth, beyond words.

When I was sixteen, I fell in love with photography. My dad signed the two of us up for a course with a local pro, and I was hooked.

A couple of years later, I went off to pursue my BFA at East Carolina University, graduating with honors in 2007. I developed a documentary, fly-on-the-wall style that I often combined with digital collage, but my passion has always been in the micro-expressions of candid moments—the way light reflects in rippled water, layers of foliage, glass, and bodies in motion.

My fascination with people and relationships eventually led me into the healing arts, where I spent twenty years supporting others’ growth. During that time, I kept my camera close, capturing nature, animals, and the people I love most.

As a North Carolinian, I hold deep respect for this land and its diverse beauty that I love to use as the backdrop to my portraits.

Returning to photography as my profession, I now bring everything I’ve learned as an intuitive coach and ritual guide into my sessions.

My work is more than images—it’s adventure portraiture: intimate storytelling rooted in nature, authenticity, and connection.

Whether it’s documenting a family’s everyday magic, capturing the wild vows of an elopement, or guiding an individual or couple through a sacred empowerment session, my mission is to witness your truth and reflect your beauty back through this art form.

We are all vast galaxies, and it is my joy to hold up the lens that shows you your radiance.

Land Acknowledgement

This business operates on the tribal lands of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Most of the images you see in my portfolio were created on land that was forcibly taken. I acknowledge and honor the traditional caretakers of this place past, present, and future and hold deep respect for their ongoing presence and stewardship. May the work I do here be rooted in reverence for the land, the waters, and the stories that have always lived here.

Equity & Inclusion

I believe that every person deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and safe in front of the camera. My photography is for all bodies, all genders, all orientations, all ages, all abilities, and all family structures. I welcome and affirm BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, disabled, immigrant, and economically diverse communities. My intention is to create spaces, whether in homes, nature, or sacred places, where authenticity can flourish without judgment. Through my lens, I aim to witness and honor the truth of your story, exactly as you are.

If you see a way in which I can live in greater alignment with these values, I welcome your feedback as I continue to grow in my responsibility and role as an ally.
